A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Accounts Assistant at our site in Nursling, Southampton. This is a varied role supporting our central Accounts team and our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Posting and allocation of customer payments.
  • Reconciling unallocated payments
  • Amending/monitoring credit limits
  • Monitor general & personal email boxes and attend to in a timely manner
  • Dealing with customer queries via email and phone
  • Sending out monthly customer statements
  • Sending copy invoices
  • Credit control
  • Setting up new customer accounts in line with company procedure.
  • Other ad hoc duties

What we need from you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferable
  • Familiarity with accounting systems within previous work experience (ideally Autoline)
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Effective communicator
  • Attention to detail
