The Role

As our Parts Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities for the Parts department.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Promote and sell a range of products, including DAF Webshop, TRP Parts, and Impress Stock.
  • Conduct market research to uncover new trends, customers, and growth areas.
  • Achieve individual sales targets by maximizing upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and expert advice on pricing and product information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange meetings and engage with potential and existing customers.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of manufacturer vehicles and options through ongoing training.
  • Manage stock processes, including impress stock, and participate in stock checks.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide training as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in Commercial Vehicle Parts is preferred; similar industries involving business development will be considered.
  • Sales background with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Knowledge of Kerridge (desirable, not essential).
  • Full driving license preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent listening skills.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with high energy.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
