The Role
As our Parts Business Development Manager, you will:
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities for the Parts department.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Promote and sell a range of products, including DAF Webshop, TRP Parts, and Impress Stock.
- Conduct market research to uncover new trends, customers, and growth areas.
- Achieve individual sales targets by maximizing upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and expert advice on pricing and product information.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange meetings and engage with potential and existing customers.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of manufacturer vehicles and options through ongoing training.
- Manage stock processes, including impress stock, and participate in stock checks.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and provide training as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Experience/Knowledge:
- Previous experience in Commercial Vehicle Parts is preferred; similar industries involving business development will be considered.
- Sales background with a proven track record of meeting targets.
- Knowledge of Kerridge (desirable, not essential).
- Full driving license preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent listening skills.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated with high energy.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in IT and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
