Commitment Quality Value
Adam Rogers attended college to study light vehicle mechanics. His father knew of Adams Morey and suggested them as a possible career progression into HGVs. Adam started with Adams Morey doing some work experience and this then led to his signing up for a 3 year DAF apprenticeship at Adams Morey in Newport, Isle of Wight, which he has just successfully completed. Adam enjoyed the DAF graduation ceremony at Celtic Manor.
Adam, who is from Shanklin on the island, says of his job: “I really enjoy it here, every day is different and the work can be very interesting and varied. We don’t just repair and maintain trucks, we can have buses, ambulances and taxis, all types of vehicle.
“My Dad is into classic cars and I have followed in his footsteps. I have two Morris Minors, one is a Traveller and working on classic cars has improved my knowledge and experience.”
Playing the trombone in Shanklin Town Brass Band has been a passion of Adams for the past 12 years. The Band perform for charity events and services and recently took part in the Remembrance Day Service at Rylstone Gardens.
