The two-storey 17,000 sqft building in Nursling, Southampton, which also offers an additional 4,500 sq ft of mezzanine storage, is also the new home of Adams Morey’s head office team. The facility became fully operational on 1 June 2021.
The new parts hub has been created to facilitate future parts growth within the Adams Morey operation. The purpose-built warehouse will house stock equating to more than £2.7m, with same-day delivery available across the region through a fleet of 14 vans.
Adams Morey group parts manager Chris Pritchard commented: “The purpose-built warehouse will provide more space for stock, increasing same-day delivery and will use technology to help optimise efficiency – further enhancing our customer service. As part of this commitment, we are also investing in a new trade call centre and increasing our fleet of trade delivery vans.”
Pritchard continued, “This significant investment will mean we are operating one of the largest commercial parts facilities in the area, and we are looking forward to providing a first-class service from the new location. From the site we will supply a full OE DAF range of parts, as well as over 85,000 truck, van and trailer parts from the TRP all-makes programme, from leading suppliers such as TMD Friction, WABCO, Hella and many more.”
The site will also host a training centre to ensure staff stay fully connected to all the latest products and have the necessary knowledge to support customers when it comes to supplying the right truck, van or trailer part for their needs.
The hub also created an opportunity for Adams Morey to relocate its head office operations from Redbridge. Site manager and finance director Will Payton explained: “We have been looking to relocate the head office team to enable our established DAF site at Redbridge to expand its customer-serving facilities later this year.”
He continued: “The relocation will pave the way for the exciting redevelopment of our DAF site at Redbridge, undergoing an upgrade in facilities for light commercial sales, repairs and MOT.”
Adams Morey is a part of the Greenhous Group, which now includes 15 sites and one of the largest areas of coverage for the DAF franchise in the UK.
Managing director Kevin Swinnerton concluded: “Last year we expanded our Basingstoke operation and we have recently acquired a DAF dealer group in the South West to increase our DAF portfolio across the south of England. Our new site at Nursling and the upcoming redevelopment at Redbridge are the latest examples of our continued investment in our operations in order to provide the highest levels of customer service and care.”
